Government Accountability

Government should work for the people it serves

In District 2, too many decisions are made far away without a clear understanding of how rural communities, small businesses, and working families will be affected. Federal policy should reflect local realities, not impose one-size-fits-all solutions.

District 2 deserves a government that listens and delivers

Too often, communities face red tape, slow-moving programs, and decisions made without enough local input. When government becomes harder to navigate, smaller towns, rural areas, and working families are usually the ones left behind.

I live and work in District 2. I will ensure local input informs federal policies that fit realities on the ground.

The barriers communities are running into now

Rural communities need practical support and responsive government, not more layers of process standing between people and results.

One-size-fits-all rules

Federal rules too often miss the realities facing rural communities and smaller local economies.

Delays and red tape

Projects, funding, and community improvements are slowed down by unnecessary process and bureaucracy.

Not enough local input

Decisions are too often made without listening closely enough to the people who live and work in District 2.

Programs that are hard to access

Many federal programs remain confusing, difficult to navigate, and out of reach for smaller communities.

I will fight for a government that produces real results

Accountability should mean faster responses, simpler systems, and better outcomes for the people and communities this district depends on.

01

Cut red tape and improve efficiency

Streamline federal processes so communities, businesses, and local governments can access funding and complete projects without unnecessary delays.

02

Ensure local voices are part of the process

Work with local leaders, landowners, tribes, and stakeholders so federal decisions reflect real conditions, not assumptions.

03

Make federal programs easier to access

Simplify applications and improve support so smaller communities and rural areas are not left behind.

04

Increase accountability and transparency

Make sure federal agencies are responsive, clear, and accountable for how decisions are made and how policies are carried out.

05

Focus on outcomes, not bureaucracy

Prioritize actions that actually improve people’s lives instead of adding more layers of process that slow everything down.

06

Keep District 2 at the center

Push for federal policies that reflect the lived realities of rural Oregon and respect the people this district serves.

Support a more accountable government for District 2

Government has a role to play, but it needs to work better. I’ll focus on making sure it delivers real results for this district and reflects the people it serves.
