Veterans

Make sure veterans get the care, benefits, and respect they have earned

The veterans who have served this country should not have to keep fighting for the care and benefits they already earned. Too often, veterans and their families run into delays, gaps in care, and systems that are difficult to navigate. We owe veterans more than promises. We owe them results.

Veterans deserve a system that works the way it is supposed to

Across District 2, veterans and military families are still running into barriers that should have been fixed long ago. Delays in VA care, gaps in mental health support, homelessness, and long waits for answers on toxic exposure all add unnecessary strain to people who have already served. A broken process is not good enough.

Too many veterans are still dealing with delays, gaps, and avoidable barriers

These are the issues that continue to affect veterans and their families, and they need consistent action instead of more bureaucracy.

VA Delays and Barriers

Veterans still face delays and unnecessary hurdles when trying to access care, benefits, and basic support they should be able to count on.

Mental Health Gaps

Too many veterans still encounter gaps in counseling, crisis care, and long-term mental health services when support is urgently needed.

Persistent Homelessness

Veteran homelessness continues despite available programs, showing the need for better coordination and long-term follow-through.

Toxic Exposure Response

Veterans affected by burn pits and other toxic exposures should not be left waiting while health impacts worsen and oversight lags behind.

I will fight for better care, faster support, and real accountability

My focus is on making systems easier to navigate, expanding support where it is needed most, and making sure veterans and their families are not left behind.

01

Ensure timely access to care and benefits

Improve VA responsiveness and reduce delays so veterans can access care, benefits, and services without unnecessary hurdles.

02

Strengthen mental health services

Expand access to counseling, crisis support, and long-term care to help address veteran suicide and improve long-term stability.

03

Address veteran homelessness with coordinated solutions

Support housing programs that connect veterans with services, treatment, and long-term support instead of leaving programs fragmented.

04

Act on toxic exposure and service-related health risks

Ensure full implementation and oversight of programs addressing burn pits and other toxic exposures so veterans are not left waiting for help.

05

Support military families

Improve access to services, childcare, and transition support for military families during service, after service, and throughout reintegration.

06

Protect voting access for service members

Make sure active-duty and overseas personnel can vote securely and without barriers wherever they are serving.

Veterans should not have to fight the system at home

District 2 deserves leadership that treats veteran care, benefits, and family support like a real obligation and delivers results that people can feel.
