Economy

Lower costs, bring resources home, and grow opportunity in District 2

Everyday voters across District 2 are paying more for groceries, housing, fuel, and healthcare while wages struggle to keep up. At the same time, too many federal dollars are going elsewhere and corporations are not being held accountable. District 2 should be competing for, and winning, the investment our communities need.

Working families need an economy that works for them

Families, workers, and small businesses across this district are being squeezed from every direction. The cost of living keeps climbing, paychecks are not stretching far enough, and too many opportunities for investment are passing rural communities by. District 2 should not be an afterthought when it comes to economic development, infrastructure, and affordability.

The pressure on households and local communities is real

Too many people are doing everything right and still falling behind. These are the problems that need practical attention and real follow-through.

Wages Falling Behind

Everyday costs are rising faster than wages, leaving families with less room to keep up and plan ahead.

Housing Out of Reach

Housing prices and rent are putting more pressure on workers, young families, and longtime residents across the district.

Small Business Squeeze

Local businesses are facing higher costs, tighter margins, and too many barriers to the support they need to grow.

Missed Investment

Federal resources are not reaching District 2 at the level they should, even though our communities have real needs and real potential.

I will fight for an economy that delivers results here at home

My focus is on lowering costs, creating opportunity, and making sure federal policy helps this district compete, build, and grow.

01

Bring federal resources back to District 2

Compete for workforce and economic development funding that supports roads, broadband, water systems, and other essential infrastructure in our local communities.

02

Lower costs for working families

Push policies that bring down the cost of everyday essentials, including housing, healthcare, food, and fuel.

03

Invest in living-wage jobs

Support workforce development, apprenticeships, and industries that create stable, well-paying jobs for people who live and work in this district.

04

Address housing affordability

Back practical solutions that increase housing supply and reduce costs for renters, first-time buyers, and working families.

05

Support small businesses and local economies

Expand access to capital, reduce unnecessary barriers, and make sure rural and small-town businesses can actually use federal programs.

06

Hold corporations accountable

Strengthen oversight to prevent price gouging and anti-competitive practices that drive up costs for families and hurt local competition.

07

Ensure fair and transparent trade policy

Support a stronger congressional role in trade decisions so new policies do not raise costs on consumers and small businesses without accountability.

District 2 deserves its fair share

We need an economic agenda that lowers costs, supports local business, and brings investment home to the communities that have been overlooked for too long.
